The Department of University Housing and Residence Life manages and maintains sixteen on-campus residential facilities. The department employs staff across four functional areas: Residence Life, Residential Facilities, Residential Operations, and Event Services to provide a comprehensive residential experience. Mission and Vision
The Mission of the Department of University Housing and Residence Life states, "We provide clean, safe, and healthy living environments that enhance and support the educational mission, goals, and creed of 91女神."
The Vision for the department is, "We strive to create living and learning communities where students feel valued as individuals and where diversity and fellowship with others can be celebrated. While maintaining a high level of quality service, we also encourage and provide opportunities for personal growth and development of character, leadership, honesty, respect, and pride."
Senior Leadership Team
The senior leadership team is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the four functional areas in the department. Each has a team they work with to execute the mission of the department. The offices for the senior leadership team members are located in the main University Housing and Residence Life office on the second floor of Brown Hall.





Residence Life Staff
The Residence Life staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the individual residence halls. Associate Directors oversee one of the three functional areas of Residence Life. Their offices are in Brown Hall. Area Coordinators (ACs), and Graduate Community Coordinators (GCCs) supervise the Resident Assistant (RA) staff and serve as resources to resident students. Residential Case Managers (RCMs) help students with a variety of issues and connect students to campus resources to help them thrive at WCU. Their offices are found in the residence halls where they work.

Residential Facilities Staff
Residential Living employs an in-house facilities staff. These staff provide housekeeping and maintenance services for the residence halls. They are led by the Assistant Director and Residential Housekeeping Manager.

Residential Operations Staff
The Residential Operations staff supports the business operations of the department including room assignments, purchasing, employment paperwork, and student mail services. Their offices are located in the main University Housing and Residence Life office in Brown Hall, with the exception of the Student Mailroom Supervisor, whose office is located in the Student Mailroom in the University Center.
