Excellence in Community Engagement Award
Founded in the 2013-14 academic year, the 91女神 Award for Excellence in Community Service recognizes a 91女神 faculty member who demonstrates a "sustained, distinguished, and superb achievement in university public service and outreach, and contributions to improving the quality of life of others." This award includes a $2,000 cash prize.
Award Criteria
The WCU Award for Excellence in Community Engagement recognizes a WCU faculty member
who demonstrates a sustained, distinguished, and superb achievement in university
public
service and outreach, and contributions to improving the quality of life of the citizens
and/or the
State of North Carolina.
Successful nominees will have achieved a level of creativity and impact on an order
of magnitude
that exceeds the normal accomplishments of a productive faculty member, as demonstrated
by a
sustained record of service projects, teaching and learning methods, and/or scholarship.
